Teaching Assistant

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with children or in a classroom setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with students, teachers, and parents.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting students’ academic and social-emotional growth.
• Flexibility to adapt to the needs of students and teachers in a dynamic classroom environment.

• Assist teachers in delivering lessons and activities, providing support to students as needed.
• Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce learning concepts and provide additional assistance.
• Assist with classroom management, including maintaining order and discipline, and ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
• Prepare and organize instructional materials, resources, and equipment for lessons and activities.
• Provide feedback to teachers on student progress, behavior, and performance in class.
• Supervise students during lunch breaks, recess, and other non-instructional periods.
• Assist with administrative tasks, such as grading assignments, recording attendance, and updating student records.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support students with special needs.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns or questions.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in education and child development.
