Position Summary:
Family Medicine : Overview of participatory research with community, clinical, and organisational stakeholders. Content focuses on participatory engagement and data collection methods, while students have an opportunity to work through aspects of their participatory project with the help of group discussions, small group work, roleplay, and guest presentations from actual participatory projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meet with the Course Supervisor to discuss guidelines, marking policies, and course material.
- Read the required material for the class and other secondary material necessary for the class.
- Prepare engaging class activities and facilitate student discussions.
- Clarify reading material or assignment for students and lead discussions.
- Support during exams by addressing student questions, making corrections, and distributing exam materials.
- Conduct office hours to provide individual assistance to students.
- Manage online course content, communicate with students via email, and be available for consultation during office hours.
- Assist in evaluating and grading exams accurately.
Qualifications:
- Candidate must have completed FMED 604.
- Must have some participatory research experience.
- Experience as TA and skills using Learning Management Systems are assets.
