Position Summary: Exam preparation, revision, invigilation and processing (photocopying, distribution, collection, filing, online posting when required); assist the instructor in the organization of the course; attend and prepare lectures; research material for the course (library, internet, departmental resources); assist students (individually or in groups; hold office hours); maintain My Courses (WebCT, uploading research, upkeep of webpage); Discussion Board/Social media supervision.
Qualifications: Registered graduate student in Hispanic Studies; experience working with computers, internet, and scanners; Adequate knowledge of the political, cultural, and social history of both Spain and Latin America is a must; knowledge of web publisher or My Courses (WebCT) an asset (must be willing to be trained by McGill IT); excellent organization and communication skills. Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English
