PAY: £85 - £95 PER DAY

Tradewind are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on behalf of a small, thriving primary school based in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
The school is a supportive and collaborative community of learners and educators who are dedicated to raising independent, curious, and creative children. They are seeking a skilled and motivated Teaching Assistant to join their team and provide general support to a Year 2 class, assisting both the children and the Class Teacher.
The successful candidate will also lead phonics interventions and must have a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in a primary school setting
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • A passion for promoting learning and helping children reach their full potential
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
  • You must have the legal right to work in the UK

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering lessons, lesson plans and assessments to a Year 2 class
  • Leading phonics interventions and helping children with their reading and writing skills
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all children
  • Collaborating with the teaching and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for every student
