Description:
The post holder has a key role to play in supporting the Academic Programme Director to set, deliver and maintain the academic standard of the programme. This programme, designed specifically for entrepreneurs, leads to a University of Cambridge award.
The MSt has historically attracted around on average 55 students on an annual basis, however the annual cohort is expected to be 60 or more. The programme is part-time and designed specifically for entrepreneurs and, as such, attracts a cohort of students who are diverse in terms of their interests (range of industry sectors), experience (ranging from recent graduate to very experienced entrepreneur) and geographical location (currently based in nine different countries).
The main purpose of the role is to ensure that the MSt in Entrepreneurship is delivered to the highest standard possible and in accordance with the policies and procedures of the university. This requires a focus on the management of the academic delivery of the programme both online and offline as well as the practitioner content online and offline. This also requires the role holder to closely liaise with the programme team and administrative staff, to recruit and manage external contributors, and to support and guide faculty. The role provider will be expected to work closely with the in-house digital learning team and liaise with other programme teams as needed. The role holder is responsible for providing teaching support, supporting experiential activities online and on-site and engaging with the student discussion forums on the virtual learning environment, as well as delivering tutorials and support. The person will also supervise a number of students’ major projects which count as a third of the overall mark and mark a number of projects according to the existing programme’s marking scheme. The role holder will be responsible for course content, content development and provide academic support to the programme (students and professional staff team). As part of this the role holder will put together an annual report on alumni outcomes, help with the development of white papers, and assist in providing ad-hoc material for marketing purposes.
Applications are welcome from internal candidates who would like to apply for the role on the basis of a secondment from their current role in the University.
The role is initially available for 2 years.
