Teaching Coordinator
Grade UE06 £32,982 - £38,205 per annum
CMVM / MGPHS / USHER Institute
Full time, 35 hours per week (we would be willing to consider a job share with 14-28 hours)
Fixed Term: available from May 2024 for 3 years
Location: On campus - Usher Institute moves to a new building in Edinburgh Bioquarter, early 2024
The Data-Driven Innovation for Health and Social Care Talent Team at the Usher Institute within The University of Edinburgh is looking for a Teaching Coordinator to contribute to the delivery of on campus data science teaching, to undergraduate students within the Edinburgh Medical School. A key purpose of the role is to teach data science skills and to support the delivery of teaching and supervision within the programme.
The Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team of educators delivering data science teaching to undergraduate students in Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. The University of Edinburgh is a pioneer in delivering data science education in this area. As a Teaching Coordinator you will work closely with our team to deliver and coordinate teaching activities, primarily on campus, but also occasionally online. You will engage closely with our community of learners providing teaching and student support. There are many opportunities to develop yourself as an educator and to engage in other international projects linked to data science practice and teaching.
