ABOUT YOU

With a completed, or be near to completing, a PhD in a relevant subject, alongside teaching experience in an equivalent educational setting, you will have practical experience of geomatics / GIS / archaeological survey alongside specialist knowledge of human evolution and approaches to archaeological landscapes. A passion for subject is key, in order to deliver the most effective and high-quality experience for our students.

Responsibilities:

This role will involve teaching, marking and supervising on Archaeology programmes, and contributing to the administrative and wider work of the School of Archaeology and Ancient History (SAAH).
You will provide high-quality teaching from Year 1 to MA level in subject areas of general archaeology, landscape archaeology, geomatics/archaeological survey and human evolution and Quaternary environments. In addition, you will support teaching on campus modules and for distance learning students. You will be committed to delivering excellent student learning experiences across a variety of formats including lectures, seminars and online discussions.
