Description:

The School seeks to appoint a Teaching Fellow in the area of Irish Literature to cover a maternity leave. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will contribute to core teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level. This will include the delivery of lectures on the undergraduate modules ‘Cultures of Retelling’ (which looks at literary adaptations) and ‘Irish Writing’, providing option modules for advanced undergraduates, and teaching on the postgraduate courses on Irish Writing, and Modern and Contemporary Literature. Duties will also include teaching tutorials, supervising dissertation projects, and completing related administrative tasks. The candidate’s area of expertise may be in any area of Irish Literature, but they should also be able to cover teaching in Irish Writing more generally.
