Description:
OPEN-ENDED
We are looking for a Teaching Services Officer to join the large Teaching Office team within the School of Social and Political Science at the University of Edinburgh. There are two Teaching Services Officers who work in close partnership to lead the staff within the Teaching Office.
YOUR SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS:
- Comprehensive and authoritative knowledge of the work practices, standards, policies, relevant systems, and processes relevant to the delivery of teaching and assessment.
- Proven ability to analyse and solve problems with an appreciation of possible longer-term implications.
- Proven ability and experience of training and/or supervising staff, allocating and prioritising their work and monitoring individual progress and performance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.Commitment to, and the ability to provide, excellence in the delivery of services.
