Description:

Do you want to work in Central Hammersmith and Fulham for a leading Trust and support the delivery of our Community Services? Then come and join our ambitious and motivated team!
We’re looking for a Team Administrator whose work will ensure patients maintain or regain their health and independence at home.
The Community Independence Service (CIS) is an intermediate care service providing advanced short-term nursing care, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and care to people with immediate health issues or needs that affect their day-to-day activity or mobility. The teams aim to offer safe care at home which enable people to avoid unplanned hospital admissions or prevent return to hospital after a recent discharge.
CIS is run jointly between West London NHS Trust and CNWL Foundation Trust across the three inner London Boroughs. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated person, who will be an integral member of the Hammersmith & Fulham team.
This role is busy and diverse with no two days the same, requiring someone with excellent communication skills, literacy and numeracy, a solid understanding of Microsoft Office packages, high level organisational skills and an ability to manage and prioritise their own workload to meet agreed deadlines and competing priorities. The role involves collaboration with both internal and external colleagues, as well as stakeholders across the system.
Working as a member of the Community Independence Service you will contribute to the running of and providing administrative support for the Rapid and Rehabilitation Pathways.
Your duties will include liaising with both internal staff and external agencies. You will have fast and accurate copy and audio typing skills and experience of taking comprehensive minutes at meetings. You will order and manage inventory of supplies, such as stationery, personal protective and IT equipment as well as support the induction of new members of staff into the team. You will keep weekly rotas up to date, liaising with and supporting colleagues in the other boroughs to meet the demands of the service.
As much of the team are out in the community treating local residents in their home, there is a degree of self-directed duties and frequent interruptions, therefore it is key to have the ability to work using your own initiative as well as being a team player, with excellent interpersonal skills.
West London NHS Trust is one of the most diverse healthcare providers in the UK, delivering a range of mental health and physical healthcare and community services. The Trust runs Broadmoor Hospital, one of three high secure hospitals in the country, with an international reputation.
Our high secure services care for patients from South of England and we provide low and medium secure services across eight London boroughs. The Trust also provides mental and physical healthcare in three London boroughs (Ealing, Hounslow and Hammersmith & Fulham). We employ 4,500 staff, of whom 56% are BME. Our turnover for 2023-24 is £426m.
The Trust is rated as ‘Good’ overall by the Care Quality Commission. Forensic services are rated as ‘Outstanding’.
The Trust is an established partner and contributor in the development of the evolving North West London Integrated Care System and the Integrated Care Board. The Trust leads the NW London Children and Adolescent Mental Health provider collaborative.
