Description:
Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead to manage a team of data architects and data analysts responsible for developing reports for animal health and production consultants in the feedlot industry.
You will lead a major data transformation initiative, migrating reports from local servers using Excel and Access to cloud databases in Snowflake and creating reports and dashboards in Tableau. This role involves overseeing the migration process, training team members on new tools and SQL, and ensuring timely delivery of accurate reports to our feedlot consultants.
- Lead and manage a team of data architects and data analysts in developing and maintaining reports.
- Drive the design and development of data models, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability of data assets.
- Oversee the migration of data and reports from local servers (Excel and Access) to cloud databases (Snowflake) and reporting tools (Tableau).
- Train team members on the use of Snowflake, Tableau, and SQL to ensure proficiency and effective utilization of these tools.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of reports to feedlot veterinarians and nutritional consultants.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Monitor and ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with company standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Develop and maintain documentation for data processes, tools, and best practices.
- Lead the data governance committee, and drive the agenda and decisions that inform the strategic direction of data and analytics in the organization
