Quality Assurance Team Lead
The Quality Assurance Team Lead ensures active Quality management of all contract manufacturing organizations and related drug products assigned to their team in line with current GMPs, and company requirements. The QATL provides Quality leadership and oversight to the organization, interfaces and network. The QATL acts as Quality responsible person and first escalation to resolve Quality issues within scope promptly and to minimize the risk to Sanofi.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensures that an appropriate Quality oversight of Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) and sub-contractors in scope of responsibility, including appropriate Quality agreements and audits, is in place
  • Guarantees compliance with GMP and corporate requirements for all regulated activities
  • Delivers against key Quality KPIs/metrics and drives results that ensure site compliance on a consistent and continuous basis
  • Ensures identification, assessment, control and communication of risks involving components, raw materials, finished pharmaceuticals, within the QATL scope of responsibility
  • Ensures the deviation and change control activities are consistently and timely managed
  • Ensures implementation and evaluation of corrective and preventive actions to address systemic issues
  • Ensures the accurate, timely, and GMP compliant management of technical product complaints from the global market manufactured under responsibility of EM CHC Europe
  • Support definition and implementation of self-evaluation and continuous improvement tools
  • Support set up and roll out of Quality culture
  • Provides leadership on Quality improvement initiatives across all operational functions
  • Manages the quality teams with multi-national members under his/her responsibility with respect to all applicable rules
  • Provides leadership and guidance on the development of employees within his/her functional areas of responsibility
  • Participates and provides recommendations on succession planning activities for staff within his/her organizational responsibilities
  • Supports design of a budget for the Quality organization and the allocation of quality and quantity of personnel to designated functions and responsibilities
  • Supports business unit in the assigned region in the management of new business opportunities, product launches as well as in setting up Quality relevant contracts
  • Provides technical support and guidance to senior management on strategic topics where their knowledge, experience, and skills are critical to decisions of strategic impact on products, processes and systems

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

  • Scientific studies in pharmacy or sciences, Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences is preferred
  • Pro-active and strategic approach and thinking regarding the implementation of innovative approaches to Quality management and Quality systems
  • Good English language skills to effectively negotiate and communicate verbally and in writing
  • Commitment to customers and can cooperate transversally
  • At least 5 years of work experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control and/or Production
  • Management experience and leadership skills (team composition, team building, change management and developing skills)
