EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience will be considered.

Experience:

  • At least 4 years warehousing experience with leadership experience
  • Forklift reach truck license (preferable – Training can be provided)
  • Dangerous goods knowledge and certification

  • Extremely organized with an attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills and a drive for results
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with staff, including other departments (Supply Chain, Regulatory and Customer Service).

Responsibilities:

  • Perform inbound material handling processes required to receive and store products
  • Outbound order picking, packing, inspection, goods issue and shipment documentation to ensure accurate delivery
  • Process employee time records, absences, overtime, paid time off, etc. while maintaining proper staffing
  • Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments with transportation partners
  • Perform required warehouse tasks such as equipment maintenance, temperature control monitoring and recordkeeping as the business requires
  • Operate the necessary equipment to complete warehouses processes (Pallet jack, Forklift)
  • Support tiered meetings through leading at the tier 1 level and participating in higher tier meetings
  • Perform daily/weekly/monthly inventory Cycle Count according to company guidelines
  • Work collaboratively with warehouse and office staff to action any inventory related requests (Stock Checks, Warehouse Receiving/Picking errors etc.)
  • Monitor daily inventory reports and troubleshoot discrepancies between stock and system records (WMS/Host comparison report, Expired Goods report, Bin Short report).
  • Conduct safety and accident readiness training, following Thermo Fisher Scientific health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Investigate and address all health and safety concerns raised by warehouse specialist(s)
  • Conduct dangerous goods training for the safe handling and distribution of hazardous products
  • Coordinate import and export activities, including communicating with customs brokers and/or internal trade compliance
