About the Job
HMP Woodhill is a Category A/B prison accommodating approximately 600 adult male prisoners who are either sentenced or on remand. CNWL provide primary care and mental health services and are an integral part of the wider prison team contributing to the rehabilitative culture within the establishment.
The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users. As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination as this remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients and service users when working on our healthcare settings.
Work within the Primary Care team is varied and includes triaging, emergency care and treatment, health promotion, effective care planning and liaising with the multidisciplinary team. It’s this variety that keeps things interesting and stimulating. You support your mental health colleagues as required. Every day will bring new challenges and new experiences but you’ll have all the support you need to deliver the best care possible from both the healthcare team and the prison team. As team leader you will oversee the daily shift allocation, and provide line management support for members of the primary care team.

ENHANCED BANK PAYMENTS - The hourly rate of bank pay in HMP Woodhill is closer to agency rates and it is probably one of the highest rates in the NHS
