Description:
Key Result Areas Demonstrate commitment to IWL principles and flexible working patterns, to meet the needs of the service and staff Tackle discrimination and harassment, and promote equality and diversity in the workplace Reduce sickness absence; work place accidents; and promote zero tolerance on violence against staff Take responsibility for personal development and education and the development of a Personal Development Plan. Carry out regular appraisals for staff, ensuring business goals are clearly communicated and linked to objectives Review training and development of all staff, so all staff have a personal development plan, and support staff in reaching their full potential as identified through the appraisal process Apply advanced specialist knowledge in scrub in the Theatre setting across a range of work procedures underpinned by theoretical knowledge and relevant practical experience Ensure the assessment, planning implementation and evaluation of programmes of care to meet the needs of the individual and that standards are set and met in the delivery of a high quality service Ensure own understanding and show compliance with the NMC Code ofProfessional conduct/Health Professional Council guidelines for Professional Practice and promote same in others Create a physical and psychological environment, conducive to providing optimum nursing care within the theatre Complex To ensure a high level of professional awareness, both personally and within the Theatre and Trust by holding and attending appropriate meetings and seminars Etc Actively engages in all aspects of clinical governance as they relate to theOperating Department Participate in the maintenance of Quality Assurance, Standards and Audit Contribute to the Departmental and Organisational Business plan and to manage resources effectively and efficiently, identify and plan to resolve deficiencies, provide a LEAN approach in putting patients first To take charge of the unit and deal with managerial issues, as they arise, in theabsence of the Theatre coordinator/Matron Work closely with the Theatre Coordinators/Matrons and the Trust wide Theatre/Day Services Manager in identifying the effects of the service provision and assisting in the initiation of change, where appropriate To participate in the Units recruitment and retention Promote and maintain a supportive working environmen
