TEAM LEADER, OPERATIONS

Sunbury Transport is a premier transportation company, specializing in US and Canadian cross-border shipments as well as domestic Canadian shipments, offering logistics services and managing freight via truckload van, flatbed, bulk wood fiber and container service. We are currently seeking a Team Leader, Operations based in Saint John, New Brunswick.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Operational experience would be considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated leadership acumen.
  • Effective communication style at all levels in the organization, a willingness to share information, and a collaborative and flexible style, with a strong service mentality.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a challenging, fast-paced environment.

  • Drive a safety-first culture.
  • Contribute to and deliver short term and long-term operational strategies to accelerate business growth.
  • Lead daily management of the fleet to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Accountable for P&L responsibilities of fleet.
  • Coach, train, develop and lead staff.
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Work with fleet managers to improve driver engagement and the management of individual drivers.
  • Build strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
