Job Description
TE WHIWHINGA MAHI | THE OPPORTUNITY
The Team Leader – Recruitment and Retention is responsible for leading a team of Student Experience Consultants in the University of Auckland’s Student Experience Centre.
This is a high-performing, mana-enhancing team that supports current and prospective student at various stages of their journey with the University of Auckland.
The Student Experience Centre is a creative environment where you are encouraged to try new and innovative ideas. The ideal candidate will have strong influencing skills, cultural competency in Te Ao Māori as well as experience in managing an already skilled team for high performance.

This position needs a dynamic communicator with strong leadership and relationship-building skills, who is able to effectively problem-solve and understands the importance of good data and analytics in serving customers and stakeholders.
You will be able to engage at a strategic level, contributing to the continual development of measures of success, and also lead, mentor and develop your team to meet and exceed those targets.
The position will also require effective facilitative and administrative ability as well as being comfortable with autonomous work.
The role is Monday to Friday, full time 37.5 hours per week, and is based on 49 Symonds Street, Auckland City Campus. The University supports flexible working arrangements.
The salary range for this role is $68,600 - $84,700 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.
