How you’ll help to create brighter futures

  • Having a good understanding of the challenges faces by vulnerable, care experienced young people.
  • Having a good understanding of the challenges of working within the management team in a residential childcare setting.
  • Having the confidence and ability to engage with other professionals and contribute meaningfully to multi-agency meetings.
  • Preparing care plans and risk management reports.
  • Having good leadership skills and the ability to provide support and guidance to the staff team.
  • Being a creative thinker and having a solution focused approach.

Are you resilient and have a positive approach to change and challenge? We’re looking for someone with a ‘can do’ attitude to join our team. Ideally, you’ll have:

  • An NVQ Level 3 in social care is desirable but we are very open to relevant experience, rather than a qualification.
  • The ability to motivate and lead a team, supporting and making decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of Proact-SCIPr-UK – Full training can be provided
  • Working with children, young people, their families and carers to promote and to ensure the safeguarding and the welfare of the child / young person.
  • The ability to evidence a high standard of written and verbal communication including care plans
  • Experience of leading a team/supervising staff in a similar role
  • A robust knowledge of Theraputic based models of practice and service delivery.

Responsibilities:

ROLE: TEAM LEADER

Salary: Up to £31,000 per annum
Location: Peterborough
Contract/Hours: Permanent/Full Time - 37 hours per week

A BIT ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Team Leader, your role involves coordinating case management for our young person. You’ll take the lead in delivering our therapeutic approach driven by love and commitment. You will lead the team in demonstrating a high standard of person-centered practice, you’ll serve as a strong role model for the staff team.
Our Team Leader will support management to create and maintain a safe and supportive environment for our young person to grow and develop. You will ensure their wellbeing is prioritised by delivering person centred care, guidance and advocacy.
