Team Leader, Rights of Passage

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Social Work, and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a residential setting or CYW and a minimum of 8 years relevant experience in a residential setting
• Knowledge of adolescent developmental theory and attachment theory
• Experience and skills in trauma-informed approach and strong harm reduction skills
• Possesses a high level of cultural competency to the role
• Leadership skills
• Knowledge of community resources
• Excellent written and verbal communications
• Basic computer skills including Excel, Word and other basic Office applications
• Familiarity with the delivery of Life Skills
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with young people experiencing homelessness and/or survivors of human trafficking in a residential setting, administration, and employee supervision
• Strong knowledge of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion principles and their application in the workplace is an asset
• Previous experience working with staff from diverse backgrounds, including racialized and 2SLGBTQ+ staff is an asset

PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Rights of Passage Team Leader provides leadership to the program and staff. Team Leaders oversee case management plans for program participants, supervise program Youth Workers, and manage day-to-day operations of the program.
