Description:

Lead the theatre team for our General and Head & Neck cases, at Mercy Hospital’s Operating Theatres. This is a permanent full time position working rostered shifts Mon-Fri, with some on call and weekend lists.

ABOUT US:

We’re part of the Healthcare Holdings Group of companies and we’re New Zealand’s largest private surgical facility with 22 theatres (plus 10 under construction here at Mercy) across 3 sites that includes an ICU and HDU. Our surgical specialties include: Orthopaedic/Spinal, Colorectal/Gastro, Gynae, Urology, Neurology, Oncology, reconstructive Plastics (incl free flaps), ENT/ORL, Head & Neck, Vascular and Cardiothoracics. Our patients are both adults and children.
If this opportunity sparks your interest please APPLY now, or for more information contact Jan Arnold in Recruitment jan.arnold@mercyascot.co.nz

Responsibilities:

This is a great opportunity for a Perioperative RN wanting to take that first step into a leadership position. It’s a balance between people management and operational leadership where you will function as the clinical expert, and the day to day “go-to” person. Your responsibilities will include resourcing and procurement of both staff and equipment for our general operating theatres. You will report directly to the Charge Nurse Manager for General/Cardiac, who in turn reports to the Theatre Manager, so there’s lots of support for you in this role.
