Job Description
For the Supplier Quality Assurance department, we are looking for a Team Leader for the Measurement and Inspection team that is willing and able to extend his/her responsibilities to proactively managing suppliers’ (quality) performance.
Introduction
The Supplier Quality Assurance Department works in close cooperation with Supply Chain Management, Technology, Engineering, Installation, Project Engineers and with stakeholders from different parts of the organization. The Supplier Quality Assurance team is part of Supply Chain and acts as an advisor and gatekeeper for maintaining the Vanderlande Quality Standard both for equipment and services.
What will you be doing?

As Team Leader of the Measurement and Inspection team, it is expected to wear two hats in the role, with the first leading the team of Measurement and Inspection, focus on:

• Quality Assurance of supplied equipment
• Reliable planning of measurements and inspections
• Compliance to the latest standards
• Instrument Calibration and Maintenance
• Process optimization with a Continuous Improvement mindset
• Training and development to enhance skills in latest techniques
• Data Integrity to ensure fact based and data driven decision making
• Cross-functional collaboration with effective communication and collaboration
• Customer satisfaction ensuring a positive reputation for Vanderlande

The second part of the role requires to act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for suppliers for which you have to take responsibility for the performance of suppliers within your own category, provide input to the Supplier Audit yearly plan, follow up on SCAR’s and lead Supplier Development programs. You perform well planned and structured supplier audits as a lead-auditor and report in a fact-based way and review audit/inspection reports.
Responsibilities
In this role, you ensure that all measurements adhere to the latest standards and you are responsible for ensuring that the team complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements required for Vanderlande as a company. You ensure a solid planning of measurements and inspections and timely calibration of the equipment. You are able to analyze data and identify areas for improvement and optimization that support the QA Engineers improve the performance of suppliers by giving useful data driven feedback.
You are responsible for training and developing team members to enhance their skills in measurement and inspection techniques and you facilitate effective communication and collaboration. You promote a culture of continuous improvement, this will involve creating a clear strategy on how to involve suppliers and increase their responsibility for the products they deliver and you work proactively to identify and mitigate risks associated with measurement processes.
You act as an ambassador for QA, with the ability to give presentations towards stakeholders about (process) improvements and way of working. You play a vital role in meeting customer expectations and maintaining a positive reputation for Vanderlande.
What do we ask from you?
Bachelor’s or master’s Degree in relevant field (technical preferred)

And as a person:

• Analytical
• Strong communicator. Able to apply distinctive styles and influencing techniques
• Verbal and written communication in English. Preferable another foreign language
• Ability to think in business risks and opportunities
• Self-starter and planner of own work
• Engineering background or obtained via relevant working experience
• Experience in supplier release processes (NPI, PPAP)
• Experience in applying problem solving methods (8D, Shainin, Kepner&Tregoe)
• Basic statistical knowledge (like Histogram, Process Capability etc.)

Preferred tooling:

• Familiar with Lean, Six sigma and statistical methods
• Qualified Lead auditor or willing to follow an external training
• Experience with International Management System Standards such as ISO9001/

NEN-EN 1090 etc.

• Process/product FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis)
