The Cloud Platform team is responsible for delivering the building blocks for the company’s future private cloud. As the team leader of the Cloud Platform staff, you will have a direct impact on the future development of the company. Under your leadership, the team will not only handle day-to-day operations, but also tackle challenging projects and grow personally and professionally. Your team consists of 6 DevOps Engineers at the locations in Düsseldorf as well as Amsterdam.

YOU BRING US THESE SKILLS:

• solid work experience as a system administrator or DevOps engineer
• Experience in the environment of a distributed system/architecture (distributed systems)
• professional experience as a team leader or technical project manager
• Very good understanding of containerization technologies
• Good understanding of Kubernetes and experience with private cloud (setup as well as further development and maintenance)
• Ideally experience with Kafka as well as elasticsearch
• Good command of the English language, both written and spoken
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Independent and self-reliant way of working as well as reliability
• High degree of initiative, flexibility and creativity

• Technical and disciplinary management of the team in Amsterdam & Düsseldorf (6 Teammembers)
• Development and implementation of a cloud architecture based on a private cloud environment
• Collaboration with internal stakeholders in the development and implementation of solutions and collaboration in projects
• Taking on tasks to provide internal platform services for container operations based on Kubernetes
• Creating a homogeneous team environment where each employee is free to develop and is encouraged to do so
• Occasional travel to Amsterdam (max 20% or at own discretion).
• Main focus of this position, is to enable the team and provide the necessary support to bring the projects to success together
