Summary
The IT company Andersen invites an experienced Tech Lead Backend Developer (.Net, C#) to work on a large-scale project.
The customer is the world’s largest P&C insurance company and the leading commercial lines insurer in the United States, with operations in 55 countries, it provides commercial and personal property-casualty insurance and supplemental health insurance. The company has administrative offices in Zurich, New York, London, Paris and elsewhere and employs approximately 40,000 people worldwide.
The project is creating a core insurance platform.
Responsibilities
- Be at the forefront of architecture discussions, providing valuable contributions and feedback.
- Implement APIs and backend services.
- Follow high-level directions but also actively shape and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Collaborating with a team of Business Analysts and fellow Developers, you’ll implement user stories for robust backend services and software.
- Bring a practical approach to performant solutions. Your bar is very high when it comes to performance and well written code.
- Follow the evidence with elusive bugs and go deep to resolve issues.
- Oversee pull requests and conduct thorough code reviews.
- Mentor team members on best practices.
- Uphold high standards of code quality and excellence.
- Advocate for initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality, security, and performance of our systems.
- Act as an end to end owner participating in many aspects of the software (design, build, delivery).
Requirements
Must-haves:
- Building large-scale applications in complex technical landscapes for 10+ years.
- Deep understanding and expertise in C#, with knowledge of the evolution and future plans of .NET.
- Experience in constructing high-quality, high-performance backend services.
- Experienced in developing and owning backend APIs, with mastery in the entire API development lifecycle, OpenAPI specs, and Swagger.
- Skilled in building scalable cloud applications, with expertise in Azure Development, TableStorage, AppServices, PaaS, APIM, and ApplicationInsights.
- Proficient with Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, C#, SQL, NoSQL, MongoDB, .NETCore, and ASP.NET Core.
- A strong focus on algorithms, abstractions, and practical implementations.
- Experienced with SDLC, CI/CD, Git, and Jira.
- Proficient in working with highly distributed teams and virtual collaboration.
- Capable of solving complex problems, open-minded, and possesses critical thinking skills.
- Ability to think ahead and make the right decisions to solve current and future challenges.
- Level of English – Upper-Intermediate and above.
