About the department: Global Government Advisory

Access Partnership works with governments and multilateral institutions across the world to design, implement and measure the impact of digital and tech-related policy and regulation. Blending technical and public policy expertise with in-depth industry insights we ensure that policy is innovative, impactful and contributes to solving major public policy questions. Specifically, the practice focuses on:

• public policy and regulatory design for governments;
• programme strategy, design and implementation for international donors and multilateral banks and other global institutions; and
• campaigns at multilateral institutions.

Past and current clients include: governments in the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region, the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank, the UK’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCDO), Australia’s Department for Foreign Affairs and Trade, USAID, the ASEAN Secretariat and the UN’s International Telecommunications Union.
Your role:
As a Senior Manager, you will leverage your subject matter expertise to deliver significant value to our public sector clients through proposal development, project design and implementation, expert advisory, and relationship management. Understanding both the public policymaking process and tech and digital policy issues, you will design and provide advisory services to governments and public institutions on strategy, policy and regulation, at a national, regional and multilateral level. Leading small project teams or working as an experienced individual contributor on larger, cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality work that exceeds client expectations. You will build strong client relationships identify new opportunities and contribute to account growth. It is expected that you will develop a personal, expert brand, representing the expertise of yourself and the company at conferences and external events where opportunities arise.

• Provide strategic advice and innovative solutions to help public sector institutions address complex tech and digital policy challenges, achieving their national, regional or multilateral objectives.
• Contribute to the design and delivery of innovative solutions for government clients, based on industry insights, comparative research and an understanding of national objectives.
• Build trusted relationships with our public sector clients to understand their needs and identify opportunities to drive greater value and impact.
• Contribute subject matter expertise to proposals and pitches to win new engagements.
• Lead project teams and manage projects to deliver outstanding results for clients, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and performance milestones.
• Foster strong collaboration with colleagues across practices to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Develop high-impact presentations, reports, proposals, and other client deliverables.
• Attend and present at conferences and workshops.

What you’ll need:

• Demonstrable subject matter expertise in Technology/Digital/AI Policy and regulation (either good broad coverage across multiple topics, or detailed knowledge of some areas).
• A mixture of experience ideally:
• working within UK government organisations or institutions, ideally with some exposure to policymaking at a multilateral level, and/or
• experience with international campaigns and/or multilateral processes including the UN, G7, OECD, WEF.
• Extensive experience leading the design and delivery of complex, high-impact public sector engagements.
• Experience building trusted client relationships, delivering value, shaping high profile engagements, and contributing to business development.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to senior officials.
• Strong project management and people management experience, particularly of international, and geographically dispersed teams.
• Willingness to travel internationally to client sites.

Location:
London – Hybrid remote. We are typically in the office twice per week.
