Your new job
The Technical Accountant is responsible for delivering the financial accounting function, including providing technical advice on the adoption of accounting standards, implementing new accounting standards, preparing the ledger for reporting at end of month, managing fixed assets, assisting in the development and delivery of financial statements & other compliance returns, and carrying out any finance project work as required.

Reporting to the Financial & Systems Accountant you will:

  • Provide accounting and technical support to ensure that reporting requirements are met, and financial and accounting processes are completed as per the financial framework.
  • Oversee the competition of bank reconciliations, manage the accounts payable payment batch reviews and back up the accounts receivable function as required.
  • Reviewing revenue contracts to determine appropriate treatment in accordance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Develop and implement effective systems for reporting financial & transactional KPIs, business metrics and statistics (including benchmarking).

What you’ll need

You are passionate, energetic and determined to make a difference to health and wellbeing outcomes for young people. The following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:

  • CA, CPA, or equivalent qualification (CA Preferred)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and extensive experience of financial accounting, including assistance in the delivery of year end statutory reporting (general purpose), and the accompanying statements and notes. (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow, Statement of Accounting Principles, etc.)
  • Capacity to identify and implement process and system improvements.
  • Highly developed skills in time management, setting priorities, planning and organising own work in order to meet deadlines.
