Job Description
AECOM is seeking a highly experienced Senior Design Manager/Technical Advisor to join our team. This role can be done on a “hybrid” basis-meaning, a combination of work from home and work out of any of our Ontario offices.
JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking an individual with a strong engineering background, expertise in owner’s engineering, a proven track record in underground subway station design, familiarity with LEAN design and construction methods, and experience in Progressive Design Build (PDB) or Design-Build (DB). The ideal candidate will also actively participate in working groups on behalf of the owner to review, discuss, and contribute to design decisions.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
In order to be considered for this position, candidates must possess, at a very minimum:
A Bachelors degree in Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture or any other relevant field of study + no less than Eight (8) years of experience managing projects and people including in a senior management/technical advisory role within a multi-disciplinary or an owner’s engineering environment, with a focus on underground subway station design.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Masters Degree an asset.
Experience in preparing project-specific output specifications, performance specifications, and design manuals.
In-depth knowledge of compliance standards and regulations related to underground infrastructure and subway station design.
Familiarity with LEAN design and construction methods is considered an asset.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate compliance requirements, PDB/DB principles, and LEAN concepts to the design team.

Relocation is not available for this position.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $170,000.00
