Description:

Freejam, developers of the online multiplayer game Robocraft, is looking for a Technical Audio Designer to work with alongside the team on both short and longer term audio projects over the course of the development.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience in using Unity to implement audio in-game
  • Proficiency in audio editing software like Pro Tools, Audacity, Reaper, Cubase, Adobe Audition, etc.
  • Proficiency in the FMOD audio middleware engine.
  • Proficiency in the Unity game engine regarding audio integration.
  • Strong understanding of sound design principles and audio post-production.
  • Strong understanding of mixing and mastering within a video game.
  • Proficiency in use of game development asset management tools such as Git and ideally Perforce.
  • Demonstrable experience in working with sci-fi sound effects design.
  • Proficiency in digital music composition appropriate for use in a video game.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in music, sound design, or related field.
  • Familiarity with C# or C++ for scripting within game engines.
  • At least one shipped gamePortfolio showcasing previous game audio work.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement audio assets for video games, including sound effects, music, and voice-overs.
  • Collaborate with designers, developers, and other team members to ensure audio enhances the gaming experience.
  • Utilize audio software to edit, mix, and master sound files.
  • Compose music tracks for use in-game.
