Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

In this role you will provide expert technical advice whilst ensuring alignment with contemporary Information Management (IM)/Information Communication Technology (ICT) frameworks.
Providing high level VMware Virtualisation and/or Microsoft Infrastructure support, maintenance and advice while providing quality assurance guidelines and processes for an enterprise level environment.
This role will rely on building positive relationships with clients and colleagues to facilitate the system support and improvements and utilise personal and organisational knowledge and skills to contribute to the design, configuration, development, documentation, implementation support and maintenance of the integrated solutions supported by eHealth Queensland.

OTHER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Installation and configuration of software, hardware and/or equipment, and testing of specific versions of one or more of these products.
  • Promotes and utilises appropriate design standards, methods and tools, consistent with agreed enterprise and solution architectures and ensures effective application.
  • Support the development, publication, implementation and compliance of project deliverables and related standards and procedures at an enterprise level.
  • Asset in procurement of any hardware required for the project.
  • Working with internal teams and stakeholders to meet project deliverables.
  • Lead change control strategies to minimise impact to stakeholders and customers.
  • Implementation of VMware infrastructure with Operating Systems including Windows and Linux/Unix
    Are you right for this role?
    We are seeking a candidate with understanding and experience with VMware and/or Microsoft technologies and to analyse, provide technical direction, standardisation, professional advice and support of enterprise ICT services in a large customer focused organisation.
    You will have experience in the build, documentation and implementation technical solutions within best practice IM/ICT design and delivery frameworks for large scale complex organisations.

To be successful in this role you have demonstrated analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills with experience in the assessment and evaluation of technical requirements within a complex IM/ICT environment, as well as experience in at least two or more of the following technology domains to provide technical advice and support of enterprise ICT services in a large customer focused organization.

  • VMware Technology Stack (vSAN, vSphere, NSX, Horizon)
  • Backup & Monitoring tools
  • Scripting and Automation
  • Microsoft Technology Stack (Server, SQL, AD, DNS, DHCP)
