Description:
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:
- Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering (aeronautic option, preferable);
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in the structural engineering field;
- Knowledge of composite materials is an asset;
- Knowledge in software like: NASTRAN, PATRAN, Hypermesh, CATIA, MSOffice;
- Ability to communicate and to work in multidisciplinary groups;
- Autonomy & resourcefulness;
- Knowledge of the CT-114 fleet is an asset;
- Knowledge of the design and fleet maintenance process is an asset;
- Bilingualism (French and English) is a must.
Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance;
- Location not accessible via public transportation, car required.

Responsibilities:
- Work in the stress department;
- Develop modifications and reparations as well as defining maintenance programs for the CT-114 aircraft;
- Utilize advanced engineering tools and software for structural modeling, simulation, and optimization;
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of structural engineers;
- Coordinate and distribute workload among team members, ensuring efficient project execution;
- Oversee and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget;
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders to achieve project objectives;
- Ensure that all designs and analyses comply with applicable regulations and industry best practices;
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure efficient fabrication and assembly processes;
- Communicate technical concepts and project status to both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
- Collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and regulatory bodies as necessary.
