WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?
- 3+ years architecting and building SaaS or web products
- Ideally 2+ years leading a software engineering team
- Experience with agile and/or scrum methodologies
- We don’t require experience with any specific technologies, but we currently use React, Redux, NodeJS, Golang, Electron, MongoDB, Postgres
- Bias for action and impact
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Tulip’s customers collect and analyze data with high fidelity and contextualization. At the core of this is the Analytics part of our product. We are looking for a technical leader to pilot this team. The team’s work is front-end heavy but there are parts of our back-end services that the team owns as well. As team lead, you would be tasked with guiding the team to solve tough technical challenges while helping individuals and the team as a whole to grow. The work happens in lockstep with our product and design teams as well as the adjacent engineering teams which are building and supporting our database and machine learning solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers in building products and delivering value to customers
- Build a diverse team while encouraging a collaborative and encouraging environment
- Create and manage a roadmap for product releases and updates
- Manage products through all stages of SDLC
- Manage a team through Agile processes and procedures
- Provide technical design insight as well as solution architecture planning
- Work with other engineering leadership to align on priorities
