Description:

AcadeMedia is looking for a seasoned Technical Lead to head our web development team on a permanent basis. This key role will involve leading development efforts, optimizing processes, and driving technical innovation using modern technologies.
Start Date: From July 1, 2024.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven expertise in leading technical teams and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
  • Strong capability for strategic thinking and problem-solving in a technical leadership role.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English, capable of effectively leading and motivating a diverse team.
  • In-depth knowledge of PHP, HTML, and JavaScript.
  • Extensive experience with WordPress, including the Gutenberg editor.
  • Proficient in using Docker for development and deployment processes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of agile methodologies, with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, ensuring efficient and reliable code deployment.
  • Drive the enhancement of development processes through strategic and analytical thinking, in close collaboration with the Head of Engineering and other team leaders.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of responsive web solutions using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of WordPress themes and plugins, including advanced development with the Gutenberg editor.
  • Utilize Docker to ensure consistent environments and facilitate streamlined deployment processes.
  • Implement and mentor the team in agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Conduct and supervise code reviews to maintain high-quality standards and foster knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Facilitate collaboration across functional teams including designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
