TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT OF COMMUNICATION AND STAKEHOLDERS ENGAGEMENT

    Commitment & contract: starting with 12 months-fixed term contract, full time
    Location: Turin
    The IIT’s Center for Sustainable Future Technologies in Turin and the Communication and External Relations Directorate (Office of Foreign Press Office and Communication of Competitive Projects) in Genova, are seeking to appoint a Level II (junior) professional with a very strong scientific background. This individual will play a key role in implementing activities necessary for the successful dissemination, communication, and networking of the COSyET Innovation Technological Infrastructure Project, for which IIT is the Coordinator. The Project aims at creating an infrastructure for the medium to high TRL development of technologies for the energy transition.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Supporting the Principal Investigator, the project partners, and the IIT’s Office of Foreign press office and communication of competitive projects for the implementation of an activity plan to promote the project and the theme of energy transition among stakeholders;
  • Producing written texts (such as news and press releases) which translate scientific achievements, publications, and main project deliverables into an accessible language for a non-technical audience;
  • Supporting content creation (video, photo, audio) for an effective communication on digital platforms (social media, website);
  • Supporting the IIT’s media relations, with a focus on local and regional dimensions
  • Organizing networking and public events to raise public awareness about the project and the themes of sustainable development and energy transition;
  • Monitoring and reporting periodically about the achievements of the activity plan.

This open position is financed by the Ministry of University and Research within the project “Components and Systems for Energy Transition (CoSyET)”, code “ITEC0000023” financed by European Union – NextGenerationEU PNRR MUR - M4C2 – Investimento 3.1 - Avviso “Fondo per la realizzazione di un sistema integrato di infrastrutture di ricerca e innovazione”,CUP J63C22000430001.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • A bachelor or master degree in science related topics
  • Documented experience in science communication and/or institutional communication contexts involving different stakeholders;
  • Strong interest in scientific topics;
  • Good communication written and oral skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Familiarity with the main IT software packages, including Word, Excel and Canva.
  • A cooperative approach with the stakeholders and colleagues
  • Accuracy and good analytical skills
