Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

KFF are currently recruiting for a full time, permanent, Technical Manager to join the team based on site at our kff Aylesford depot, reporting to the Head of Distribution Quality Control.
As the Technical Manager you will oversee KFF depots covering Aylesford and KFF Purple Pineapple manufacturing facility at Aylesford. It is your responsibility to ensure their compliance with food safety, quality, hygiene and legal requirements through implementation, monitoring and audits of Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure due diligence systems (QMS) are continuously improved and enforced through audits, providing technical support and advice to the site, whilst delivering a consistent approach to systems implementation
  • Maintain BRC (&/or equivalent) Storage & Distribution certifications (ideally AA / A) at depots on an annual basis
  • Maintain third party accreditation / STS certifications at manufacturing site on an annual basis, though moving from SALSA / STS to BRC Food Safety certification (ideally AA / A) at depots on an annual basis,
  • Responsibility for the Management of the sites MSC standard and procedures etc.
  • Maintain MSC / ASC and other 3rd party certifications on an annual basis.
  • Conduct site standards (GMP, HP, Fabrication, Foreign Body, Hygiene etc) audits (in addition to BRC preparation / audit)
  • Conduct internal audits for sites, against the BRC or equivalent standard
  • Conduct forward and backward minimum annually crisis management mock recalls
  • Ensuring that the Approved Supplier List for products is maintained in line with introduction of new suppliers and products, implementing a supplier audit programme based upon the risk assessment outputs from the Approved Supplier List
  • Approval of new product codes for site introduced into the business following review and approval of supplier Due Diligence information, whilst ensuring that product information for the labelling of products is maintained to provide for accurate finished product labelling
  • Provide technical support and advice to sites
  • Support customer & regulatory visits / audits to sites, as required.
  • Facilitate investigation of complaints & product non-conformance, with regard to technical issues
  • Ensure personnel are trained commensurate with their duties, regarding food safety, quality, hygiene and legality.
  • Participate in quality assurance & technical compliance initiatives within the business.
  • Anticipate & identify problems, with resolution, and own them through to conclusion
  • Act on decisions with the required amount of urgency
  • Keep up to date with industry best practice.
