QUALIFICATIONS (SOME EXAMPLES LISTED BELOW):

• Bachelor’s Degree (Required) in Food Science, Food Technology, Biotechnology, or any related field.
• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in food manufacturing, retail, QSR, supply chain or any other related fields.
• Food safety certifications is required.
• Organizational agility and ability of developing working relationships with the different internal/external agents.
• Excellent communication/presentation skills to make information accessible to different audiences and to influence decisions within the organization using consistent data/analysis.
• Technical Proficiencies: Microsoft Suite (Examples: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Able to multi-task, prioritize workload and comfortable working within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, detail oriented
• Interpersonal, relationship-building and networking skills with a self-motivated attitude to work.
• Language requirements: Fluent in English – any additional language a plus.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We have an exciting opportunity to support our UK team as a Technical Manager – Maternity Cover based in London, UK. This will be a maximum of 18 month’s placement.
The regional Technical Manager position is a dynamic role as a key member the EMEA and Global Food Safety & Quality Assurance Team. Within this role you will manage the UK region alongside the Sauce and Dairy range ensuring the food safety, legality and quality of ingredients supplied to subway franchises.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Key contact for all food safety and quality related matters in the UKI and Ireland.
• Manage the current supply base and onboarding of new suppliers.
• Work closely with the purchasing category & technical teams to complete assigned commercialization projects to drive maximum efficiency.
• Allergen program team member
• Product specification management: manage specification approval and issuance.
• Assist the purchasing QA team with quality complaints investigation and resolution.
• Assist/backup technical leads for any other category such as Bakery, Protein and Produce.
