JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
Marine
- Managing the various types of ships and the regulatory and industry compliance requirements for each type.
- Managing the quality, Health, and safety aspects of running a ship in international trade.
- Manpower planning, recruit and deploy sea crew to fleet of vessels, review and implement sea-crew acquisition and retention programs.
Technical
- Managing maintenance of various types of ships focussing of operational efficiency and cost management.
- Port & Terminal Procurement: Ensure optimum usage of ports and terminals and manage port and terminal costs
Purchase / Logistics
- Marine Procurement and Contracts: Review and implement Procurement Contracts, partner with vendors for global supplies to meet vessel’s needs.
- Business Process, Reporting and Systems Reporting: Formulate and implement cost guidelines, reviews processes for performance effectiveness.
Corporate Functions
- Finance: Perform financial accounting, budgetary controls, treasury, and risk management (Enterprise Risk Management) functions
- IT: Drive digitalization efforts to meet business needs, collaborate with business users to develop applications for a wide range of IT platforms through enterprise systems and vendor products.
- Human Resource: Enhance Human Capital Management in areas such as talent acquisition, development of total rewards, talent management and learning and development.
Internship will include visiting a Ship at Anchorage in Singapore and will also include few tasks relating to data entry to manage inventories on the company’s ERP.
