Overview:
HORUS Technology Solutions is looking for a Technical Peer Reviewer Consultant to join our Grants Peer Review project team.
A top candidate would be very client focused. To be a strong team player you must be proactive in identifying issues and risks, and work with the client and the team to be a trusted advisor.
Responsibilities:
- Provide demonstrated expertise in the disciplines listed in the qualifications below
- Support likely to be provided remotely. (Note: Most of the Peer Reviews are conducted between March-August annually. Occasionally, reviews may be required during other times of the year.)
Qualifications:
- At least five (5) years of experience in one or more of the subsequently cited areas. Experience in reviewing contract and/or grant proposals is preferred, but not required
- State Systems for Mental Health, Substance Abuse Prevention, Substance Abuse Treatment Services.
- Evaluation methodologies.
- Criminal Justice systems especially as relates to Mental Health, Substance Abuse Prevention and Substance Abuse Treatment.
- Faith and Community organizations that provide Mental Health, Substance Abuse Prevention and Substance Abuse Treatment Services.
- Program development, planning, and management at the local, state and federal level as relates to Mental Health, Substance Abuse Prevention and Substance Abuse Treatment.
- HIV/AIDS as relates to Mental Health, Substance Abuse Prevention and Substance Abuse Treatment.
- Adolescent behavior and issues as relates to Mental Health, Substance Abuse Prevention and Substance Abuse Treatment.
- Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD)
- Illicit drug use/abuse; marijuana, crack, cocaine, heroine, ecstasy, methamphetamine, etc.
- Prescription drug use/abuse; OxyContin, Methadone, etc.
- Co-occurring substance abuse and mental health issues.
- Children’s mental health.
- Traumatic Stress and Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome
- Mental illness and mental health in adults.
