Description:

NMI is looking for a Technical Product Manager - Payment Experiences. NMI products include a number of user interfaces (portals) that provide Partners, Merchants, and Support with tools for payments monetization. With our partner-centric approach, these portals allow our partners to put their brand at the forefront. This role will be tasked with developing a ’Now, Next, Later’ vision and strategy for our goal of providing a unified partner and merchant UX - available whitelabeled or embedded in partner software platforms and websites.
This role will be part of our Merchant Relationship Management value stream, and will be primarily focused on creating a unified hub for Partner and Merchant payment experiences. Additionally, you will manage product development, ideation requests, and roadmap planning for our Gateway Portals team. You are responsible for existing portals with 100k+ Daily Active Users that provide business critical payments functionality to thousands of partners. Your mission will be to ensure that our partners and merchants receive a unified experience when working with one or many NMI products.
As the Technical Product Manager - Payment Experiences, you’ll be the Gateway Portals team expert on partner and merchant experiences. We’re looking for someone with experience building world-class payments solutions with a mature understanding of B2B2C payments user personas. If you’re an experienced self-starter with a blend of technical and UX, we’d love to hear from you.
As the Technical Product manager, you will manage the definition and execution of NMI’s Gateway Portals product roadmap, while facilitating backlog grooming, prioritization, triage and other ceremonies in an agile product development lifecycle. A successful candidate possesses a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, attention to detail, and the drive to make their vision a reality. You’re equally as comfortable shipping user-facing experiences as you are building a strategy for user analytics & data insights. A background in Payments/FinTech product management in a global SaaS product is strongly preferred.

REQUIREMENTS:

The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity and approaches problem solving, teamwork, and innovation with a positive attitude. This person has a very strong understanding of our customers, including the driving forces in payments technology and product evolution.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in product management, preferably in Payments FinTech.
  • Attention to detail and a Passion for building great products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with customers, business and technical team members across the organization
  • The ability to work independently and effectively as part of a geographically distributed team

WHAT WE DO!

NMI enables our partners with choice, and challenges the one-size-fits-all approach to payments. You’ve probably used NMI in the last 24 hours without even realizing it. We’re the platform that powers success for innovative tech created by SMBs, entrepreneurs and fintech startups. We’re creative problem solvers who help visionaries smash through boundaries and think beyond what’s possible so they can think about what’s next. But we’re not just built for the tech savvy. We democratize the latest payments technology so that everyone can realize the benefits of easy payments across the full spectrum of commerce. We’re all about enabling more payments in more ways and more places.
We believe that having a diverse group of employees strengthens both our work and our workplace. We’re focused on making NMI more diverse and welcoming with initiatives like having a dedicated Diversity, Equity & Inclusion action group, diversity goals for hiring, anonymized resume screening, affinity groups such as our Women’s network and LGBTQ+ Network, open forums for discussions on diversity and social justice, and measuring inclusion and belonging as part of our regular employee engagement surveys.
