We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with an outstanding talent as a business leader to manage a team of Technical Product Managers working on an exciting new product in PTC’s ALM portfolio. Codebeamer is an Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) platform for modern product and software development. World’s leading product developers value Codebeamer for its company-wide scalability, high availability and performance, and configurable workflows. The candidate will work with the global Codebeamer R&D team and solve complex problems in the ALM domain by designing and implementing modern, scalable, and performant software solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, product management skills, and a strong understanding of customer needs. As a manager, you will be part of a fast-moving, experienced team using agile development processes and will play a pivotal role in creating a world-class software product which will bring value to our customers. You will also maintain a role as an individual contributor to some teams, while serving as a mentor and consultant to direct reports. You will be expected to:

  • Manage a team of Technical Product Managers while also owning the product backlog for 1 or more development teams.
  • Work with Product Management to develop and maintain future product backlog and provides visibility to development.
  • Manage team backlogs, detailed requirements, and work with co-located Agile teams at global R&D centers to deliver quality solutions.
  • Participate in the vision, design, and implementation of quality products.
  • Bring a user perspective to the design of our products, ensuring that we deliver products that our customers want to use.
  • Bridge the gap between product management and engineering teams to distill high level requirements into actionable plans that our expert developers can execute on.
  • Work with the project management office and the release management teams on the release management process and reporting.
  • Work with the Technical Product Managers from other R&D teams to manage dependencies.
  • Demonstrates expertise in agile practices, and procedure.
  • Ensure team members are following best agile practices.

EXPERTISE AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable interacting with technical and business professionals at every level.
  • Experience writing user stories, creating product backlogs, prioritizing work, and performing story acceptance.
  • Experience delivering enterprise grade software applications. Familiarity with large scale computing platforms, multi-tenant architectures, cloud-based solutions, high availability solutions.
  • Experience with productivity tools and languages (Git, IDEs, scripting).
  • Object oriented design and development experience, integration with enterprise applications and systems/APIs (Java/REST/SOAP) is a plus. SAML, OATH and related security experience a plus.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 8-10 years working in an enterprise software company.
  • Minimum 3-5 years using Internet technologies.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of management experience.
  • Demonstrated success in product software development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, engineering, science or equivalent
