FactSet is looking for a Technical Senior Product Manager to join our Workflow Manager team within the Platform Infrastructure Engineering department. This team is actively developing the Workflow Manager platform that can seamlessly combine functionality from FactSet’s entire product suite using APIs. We aim to create efficient workflows that save time, promote transparency, and deliver timely Generative AI insights to bolster data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate would be a tech-savvy product manager or a product-focused engineer.
As the Technical Senior Product Manager, you will drive all aspects of the product development lifecycle, from strategic planning and execution to launch and continuous optimization for value delivery. You will proactively pinpoint solutions that are feasible, usable, valuable to users, and viable for our business. You will also engage internal stakeholders and customers to identify and solve the right problems, define success metrics, and guide the team towards meaningful outcomes.

What You’ll Do:

  • Define product strategy, including vision, value proposition, and roadmap, in the context of product line and FactSet’s Gen AI strategy.
  • Plan releases, prioritize features, define the work, and what success looks like.
  • Understand end-market dynamics, end-user roles and responsibilities, and the competitive landscape, and continue to build upon this knowledge through research and engagement with clients.
  • Interact regularly with development teams to prioritize needs, evaluate product success metrics (engagement, adoption, stickiness), financial metrics (support and cloud costs), and provide clarity for iterating on solutions.
  • Influence multiple Agile teams to collaborate and focus on delivering “shippable” products.
  • Objective thinker who can work with the team to identify issues and risks and work to remove impediments.
  • Strong communicator who can adjust the message depending on audience and can provide clarity on progress at any point during the product lifecycle.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM, finance, economics, or another relevant field.
  • 7+ years’ experience in product management with a strong track record of delivering valuable products on time, or equivalent experience within engineering.
  • Previous experience and knowledge of APIs and at least one object-oriented programming language (i.e. Python, C++, C#, Java, etc.).
  • Proficient in creating / ‘refining’ product backlogs, writing user stories, and developing acceptance criteria.
  • Strong product instinct to build great product vision, product roadmap, and competitive analysis
  • Capable of inspiring cross-functional, global teams to deliver on the product strategy and vision. Ability to align and influence engineering, design, product marketing, and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated autonomy and impact in previous Product roles. Ability to say no to demands from stakeholders that do not align with the validated product strategy.
  • Excellent analytical skills and data driven-approach to constantly analyze user feedback and analytics.

Responsibilities:

  • Strong communicator who can adjust the message depending on audience and can provide clarity on progress at any point during the product lifecycle
