Description:

SUMMARY:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Technical Program Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive engineering and program management, with a focus on electric charging technologies. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and deliver complex EV projects on time and within budget. The Technical Program Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the successful launch of new EV charging platforms and advancing our technology roadmap.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree (B.S.) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent,
  • Master’s of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP)
  • An individual with abundant energy, social intelligence, and charisma to become a trusted leader to elevate and sustain team performance.
  • Team leadership experience managing program teams with 20 members
  • Experience in electrical/mechanical hardware systems and software development
  • Experience working with EV standards and regulations
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Project Desktop, Jira, and Jama

Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution:
  • Lead the planning and execution of EV projects from concept to production, including defining project scope, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Develop detailed project schedules, resource plans, and budgets to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and suppliers to drive project progress and resolve technical challenges.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on automotive EV technology, including battery systems, power electronics, and vehicle integration.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, customer requirements, and corporate requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support on technical decisions, leveraging your expertise to drive innovation and optimization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with product management, engineering (mechanical, thermal, electrical, CAE, data analytics, software/firmware, test & validation), manufacturing, and quality teams to align project goals and priorities.
  • Coordinate with marketing, finance, accounting, and legal departments to facilitate the necessary workflows.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across functional groups, ensuring a clear understanding of project requirements and dependencies.
  • Successful negotiation with stakeholders to maintain alignment across the organization.
  • Drive cross-functional problem-solving and decision-making to address issues and achieve project milestones.
  • Risk Management and Mitigation:
  • Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address potential obstacles and challenges.
  • Monitor project progress and performance metrics, implementing corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track.
  • Anticipate and resolve issues related to resource constraints, technical dependencies, and changes in project scope.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
  • Communicate project status, milestones, and key updates to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including executive leadership.
  • Prepare and deliver clear and concise presentations to convey project plans, progress, and outcomes.
  • Solicit feedback from stakeholders and incorporate input to drive continuous improvement and alignment with business objectives.
