Who you are
As a Technical Project Manager in Oils & Fats Systems, you are skilled at promoting collaboration among engineering teams, enhancing customer experience, and ensuring timely project deliveries. This role demands a strategic leader who can maintain control over the engineering budget, balancing cost efficiency with quality outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a customer-oriented mindset, and a proven track record of managing complex engineering projects within the contractual constraints.
About the job
As our new Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordination of the engineering packages and equipment supply for multiple low, medium and high complexity projects, as well as to develop our workflow and discipline know-how on a high level. For low complexity projects, it is expected that you can take mechanical and/or process lead role as well. Your primary tasks will be:
- Coordinate and align between all engineering disciplines to secure that there is consistency in the technical solutions.
- Ensure that the projects are executed using the latest standards and best practices within Alfa Laval proven technologies.
- Ensure that the project engineers follow the workflows and guidelines in the Quality Managements System (QMS)
- Ensure consistent engineering quality through document reviews and engineering verification.
- Consolidate learnings from the project execution and facilitate knowledge sharing within the relevant industries. Reporting to be done by integrated Alfa Laval tools for nonconformities and suggestions for continuous improvements.
- Align project requirements with the Commercial Project Manager
- Manage design and engineering of products and solutions based on customer requests, applicable standards, and codes in cooperation with the application specialist
- Deliver and drive improvement of current technical solutions and / or develop new solutions to ensure our competitive advantage.
- Take lead in customer meetings, coordinate inspection, testing and troubleshooting for deliveries with discipline leads.
- Support Commercial Project Managers in preparing and maintaining overall project time schedules
- Coordinate and execute equipment specifications, design and purchase for the small or medium size projects (Process and/or Mechanical Lead role)
What you know
The ideal candidate has experience from another industry within Process System Engineering.
Strong background in mechanical or process engineering with several years of experience within Process System Engineering. Experience from multidisciplinary project industries, like Vegetable Oil Refining or Oil&Gas would be an advantage.
Knowledge of, and experience with, engineering codes and standards.
As part of a global organization, speaking and writing English is a prerequisite. As is respecting and managing cultural differences.
