Technical Revenue Accountant

We are in search of a Technical Revenue Accountant to join our healthcare team situated in Irving, Texas. As a key player in the Revenue Accounting team, you will be involved in interpreting and applying complex revenue recognition standards to a variety of contracts. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity and is essential in managing the company’s revenue recognition processes and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and review complex contracts for revenue recognition implications and ensure accurate accounting in accordance with ASC 606
• Handle multiple element arrangements in contracts and assess the appropriate accounting treatment
• Communicate effectively across the enterprise, explaining accounting concepts to non-accounting personnel in a clear and concise manner
• Manage a large amount of open items, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
• Use technical accounting skills to deal with complex accounting standards, including complex leasing standards
• Utilize the Workday system and Microsoft Excel to efficiently manage and process revenue accounting tasks
• Gain exposure to a variety of contracts in different formats, enhancing your understanding and application of revenue recognition standards
• Contribute to the continual improvement of revenue accounting processes and procedures, providing innovative ideas and solutions
• Leverage your experience in the services industry to better understand and meet the revenue accounting needs of the company
• Collaborate with the wider Accounting team to ensure all revenue accounting tasks are integrated and aligned with overall financial reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in Technical Accounting and Revenue Accounting is required.
• Understanding of ASC 606 and Company Revenue Recognition is necessary.
• Ability to ensure Proper Revenue Recognition as per organizational standards.
• Familiarity with Complex Workflows is essential.
• Experience in handling Contracts, particularly Service Contracts.
• Knowledge of Multiple Element Arrangements is expected.
• Proficiency in using Workday software for business processes.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience in the Healthcare or NHS industry is preferred.
• Ability to manage and oversee all aspects of revenue accounting.
