Description:

We are looking for a Technical Safety Engineer that will play a crucial role within the PDE Project Management organization. This position involves close collaboration within the PDE organization, adhering to established systems, procedures, and methods. The Technical Safety Engineer will oversee the complete working environment within the designated design scope.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Provide technical support within the technical safety discipline for EPC deliverables, ensuring compliance with relevant rules, regulations, and standards.
  • Review documentation in accordance with the Document Distribution Matrix.
  • Collaborate with clients to devise design solutions and verify their efficacy.
  • Participate in discipline checks, design reviews, HAZIDs, and HAZOPs.
  • Monitor contractor progress and promptly report any delays in engineering deliverables to the Technical Safety and WE Lead.
  • Facilitate the transfer of knowledge and experiences within the company.
  • Actively contribute to the improvement of work procedures to enhance work processes.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant technical field.
  • Strong understanding and practical experience in areas such as QRA, Fire & Explosion Study, Hydraulic analysis, Process safety, Functional safety, PFP, RAM analysis, and UK safety case, among others.
  • Familiarity with UK rules & regulations is highly desirable, with previous experience in UK North Sea project execution considered advantageous.
  • Recent experience in middle east / southeast Asian shipyards is preferred.
  • Prior involvement in modification projects and/or FPSO redeployment is strongly desired.
  • Fluent written and oral English language skills.
