We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Sales Professional to join our team at VPG.

Responsibilities:

  • Maximize sales in territory and win design-ins in conjunction with the Field Design Engineers and divisional management staff. Review customer specifications and recommend P/N’s or available alternatives.
  • Provide applications support and sales assistance for the customer’s technical and purchasing staff.
  • Demonstrate MM products and solutions to the customers using presentations, samples and demo equipment, including actual hands-on demonstrations.
  • Submit detailed customer visit reports as defined by the Sales Manager.
  • Identify new product opportunities and prepare / provide supporting documentation.
  • Work continuously with the application engineering team on non-standard projects.
  • Arrange technical conference calls with customers and technical team as needed.
  • Negotiate the technical requirements for customer specific qualification documents; i.e. PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) or equivalent and submit the completed package upon QA completion (when applicable).Workshops and Straintalk as required.
  • Provide product training and technical presentations to our customers including university level students. Coordinate with Field Design Engineers for additional customer technical support, and assist FDEs with Strain Gage Workshops and Straintalk as required.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time.

Requirements:

  • B.S. Engineering or equivalent, BSEE preferred or 15 years industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of strain measurement theory and strain measurement technology is required.
  • 10 years’ experience in technical sales, product marketing or design engineering within the mechanical or electronics industry.
  • Experience in dealing with division’s products is an advantage.
  • Salary range: $100K-$120K annually plus bonus eligible

The estimated salary range allows for candidates with various levels of skills and experience to be considered, as well as provides room for growth achieved within the role over time. Any offer extended to a candidate or salary increase consideration for a current employee will be based on the individual’s unique set of knowledge, skills, education, experience and geographic location, as well as internal equity.
