Description:

IQIP, a global leader in the market for pile drivers and installation equipment, is actively seeking a Technical Specialist. With a rich history and a dedicated team of 400 colleagues worldwide, IQIP is at the forefront of delivering smart and sustainable solutions for projects both at sea and on land, including wind farms, drilling platforms, bridges, and ports. We are inviting candidates with a background in mechanical engineering who are looking to broaden their workfield to other areas.
Your work
As a Technical Specialist at IQIP, you will play a critical role in integrating data from existing systems into our webportal, a project that is just beginning to unfold. Your involvement at this stage is crucial, as it allows you to contribute significantly to the improvement of a product with high potential for our upcoming projects. In this role, you will collaborate closely with various departments such as Fleet and Customer-service, representing the engineering department in project teams.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Market and Internal Needs Assessment: You will be responsible for gathering and summarizing needs from all departments to evaluate market requirements or internal uses. Your focus will be on enhancing the reliability of our equipment and creating unique selling points.
  • Specification Alignment and Development: Align and summarize all dependencies, and update or create specifications for internal or external suppliers.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Conduct analysis to identify the root causes of any issues found during field testing.
  • Control Systems and Software Support: Assist in the development of control systems and software for our Hydrohammer equipment.
  • Engineering and Production Support: Support the detailed engineering of control systems, oversee production, and conduct testing with suppliers.
  • Equipment Handover and Training: Manage the handover of equipment to internal or external customers and provide training when required.

Your profile
You have a background in mechanical engineering, with a desire to expand your expertise into broader areas. A minimum of 3 to 4 years of relevant work experience is essential to make that step. The specifics on our products, you will learn on the job.
