Description:

Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, is looking for a skilled Technical Specialist based in the Gothenburg area in Sweden. In this role, you will provide on-site field service and assist customers with problem-solving support regarding Nalco Waters’ products, applications, and solutions. The position primarily focuses on the Refinery & Petrochemical Industry in Sweden, with potential for progression into a Sales Engineer role.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A degree in an engineering discipline is advantageous but not required. Relevant skills may also be obtained from technical roles such as maintenance, equipment supply, electrical work or programming.
  • Good Computer Skills (Office, CRM, cloud based ptatforms)
  • A personable and communicative approach
  • Strong work ethic and commitment
  • English Language skills required.
  • Commercial attitude
  • Valid B driving license.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

A common month could include a couple of overnights within the Nordic countries. Ability to work flexible hours to ensure service delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety by adhering to defined metrics, systems of work, and tools to protect yourself, co-workers, customers, and the Nalco Water brand.
  • Demonstrate safe driving techniques and maintain company vehicles and equipment in a professional manner.
  • Support to district sales personnel in the handling of company program service calls on existing products and services and assist in the correction of problems as appropriate.
  • Assess on-site field problems and operate necessary testing equipment to bring systems into customer conformance.
  • Coordinate and manage replacement parts programs with the individual manufacturing plants to ensure the availability of components as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports detailing technical problems and solutions to initiate necessary corrective product modifications and/or recommended process changes. Document value provided to the customer whenever possible.
  • Qualify, coordinate, and monitor outside subcontractor network as required to ensure repair timelines are maintained and customer satisfaction is maintained.
  • Work with other district personnel toward continuous improvement of policies and procedures resulting in increased customer satisfaction.
  • Provide installation resource services as needed (e.g., field surveys, installation checklists, rollout support).
  • Stay informed about industry advances through continuous internal education.
  • Participate in design reviews, new application start-ups, and evaluations. Assist in critiquing products for serviceability, performance, and reliability. Inter-act with appropriate company resources and work as a team.
