WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Technical Specialist, you will play an integral role in supporting our sales team by providing expert advice and solutions for technical and chemical treatment issues. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments for monitoring treatment KPIs, providing sound technical analysis across various areas of Water Treatment, making improvement recommendations, and working collaboratively with the sales team to solve customer challenges. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to innovative water recycling projects by supporting industrial technical consultants in conducting total plant audits. This role requires flexibility with out-of-hours work or travel as needed.

• Provide support to the sales team by resolving technical and chemical treatment issues as they arise
• Report on progress regarding chemical program risk identification, mitigation, and escalation
• Conduct assessments for monitoring treatment Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Provide sound technical analysis of chemistry, operational, and mechanical issues across Water Treatment – including cooling water, boiler water and wastewater
• Make technical improvement recommendations on operational, maintenance and chemical program to customers
• Work collaboratively with sales team solving the technical challenges by customers and support to attain new sales opportunities
• Support the industrial technical consultant to conduct total plant audit to develop water recycling project opportunities
• Participate in out of hours, standby working or travel as required to support field technical works
• Escalate technical issues and ensure data capture on issues that are relevant to the development of chemical program, operational, maintenance and repair plans

You have a background in process engineering and possess an in-depth knowledge of water treatment and maintaining water treatment programs. Your local knowledge of assets and operational performance capabilities will be invaluable in this role. You are known for your ability to work collaboratively across various functions, achieving set objectives with ease. Your effective communication skills enable you to engage with a broad range of internal stakeholders.

• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in water supply, wastewater treatment or environmental engineering
• Experience in process engineering
• In-depth knowledge of water treatment and/or maintaining water treatment programs
• Local knowledge of assets and operational performance capabilities
• Ability to work collaboratively across various functions and achieve set objectives
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage with a broad range of internal stakeholder
