Triple points if you are a Design Engineer with a particular affinity for technical details and sales. This role offers the perfect opportunity for exposure to business development, product design, and sales engagement in the renewable energy industry.
This role is largely focused on supporting our client’s product sales process, handover for production, installation, and finally integration and commissioning. You would be the go-to for pre and post-sales technical assistance, providing comprehensive technical support to clients.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, B-Tech, or National Diploma in electrical engineering

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of experience designing renewable energy systems
  • Successful track record of technical sales and support role
  • Business orientated mindset and experience in compiling bill of materials advantageous
  • Experience in project costing for the preparation of tenders, quotations, and proposals

SKILLS

  • Excellent technical aptitude
  • Analytical approach to problem solving
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the sales process from production handover to installation, integration, and commissioning
  • Merge technical expertise with sales proficiency to assist clients with products and services
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of key equipment and their functionalities
  • Gather customer information, conduct site visits, and aid in formulating quotations and tender submissions
  • Attend sales meetings with prospective clients to explain the technical details of energy storage products
  • Actively contribute to the development of new products, technology pairs, and services
  • Regularly interact with sales team members and colleagues from various departments and senior executives
  • Develop effective sales strategies and tactics, leveraging technical knowledge
  • Assist in delivering compelling product presentations and proposals to clients
  • Engage in technical and economic discussions with potential customers
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create technical sales collateral
  • Attain growth targets and achieve sales objectives
  • Provide insights from customer interactions to enhance existing products and develop new offerings
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely delivery and implementation of solutions
  • Ensure smooth handover from business development to construction/assembly and then to commissioning and Operations and Maintenance
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, technical specifications, and project details
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, understanding their evolving needs
  • Assist the Business Development Representative during quotation and solution phases for customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback
