For our client a market leader in industrial cooling and gas compressors, I am looking for a Technical Support Engineer. In the field of energy, they are very progressive through innovations in refrigeration technology, energy-saving technologies and CO2 reduction. Around 150 people are employed in the Belgium region.
As a Technical Support Engineer you will be responsible for liaising with both existing and potential clients to understand their technical requirements for compressors, compressor units, heat pumps, and refrigeration units. Your primary focus will be analysing the customers specifications to tailor-made proposals that meet their needs. In this role you will collaborate closely with the engineering department.
In instances where specialised components or features are required, you will actively seek out and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure the best fit for the project.
Furthermore, you will be tasked with managing the cost calculation process for each project, overseeing negotiations with suppliers, and preparing comprehensive quotations.
In addition to your internal responsibilities, you will serve as a point of contact for external stakeholders, including contractors and occasional direct interactions with end clients.
While the role primarily operates within an office environment, there may be occasional opportunities for on-site visits to gain firsthand insights or address specific project requirements.
