POSITION OVERVIEW

As an engineer you will develop and deliver significant components of engineering solutions to satisfy complex and diverse business goals. You will engage and partner with the business whilst working within a broader creative, collaborative and innovative team, with a strong desire to make an impact.
RFT is the technology partner to the Risk divisions of Credit Risk, Market Risk and Non-Financial Risk. NFRM manages the Bank’s non-financial risks, including Operational Risk and Reputational Risk. Our mission is to simplify processes, increase and active partnership and reduce administration, to deliver practical and sustainable risk management solutions.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to analyze business requirements, to reproduce incidents in a pre-prod environment, performs root cause investigations for application production incidents by providing detailed analysis and delivers the necessary data fixes/resolution.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior IT and Business stakeholders.
  • Prior experience working with Agile software methodologies, tools (Jira, Confluence) and ticketing systems (ServiceNow)
  • Proficient communication and English language skills (written/verbal)
  • Excellent team worker
  • Good understanding of OOP concepts
  • 5 years previous working experience with SQL databases and exposure to development tools
  • Basic knowledge on cloud concepts (GKE, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Kubernetes).

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • College or university with a concentration in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or equivalent)
  • ITIL Certification would be a plus
